Audi of Huntington Has First Look at Next-Gen TT

Though the Audi TT available in our showroom in Huntington Station, NY is fresh off the assembly line, the auto brand is already hard at work on the third-generation model. With a launch scheduled for late 2014, we are only now starting to see details trickle in concerning the new Audi.

A recent report by the auto experts at Car and Driver reveals the TT's powertrain, the gist of its styling, and Audi's plans for the model's interior.

Available on the base TT will be a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine enhanced with direct injection to deliver an anticipated horsepower amount of 220. For those of you counting, that's a nine horsepower increase from the current model. The upgraded Audi TTS will feature an appropriately matched boost of power and will see a 35 horsepower increase, bringing its total delivery to 300 horsepower.

As far as its appearance, both inside and out, Audi is showing incredible commitment to creating a TT that is pleasing to eye. With the brand's renowned styling expertise, we can expect nothing short of an attractive automobile. According to the report, Audi aims to revive the original TT's vibes which entails a streamlined, futuristic, clean and modern look. Such minimalist styling will be particularly noticeable with its interior, which simplifies instruments into a TFT screen.

We will surely see this trickle of information on the next-generation TT grow into full stream as we approach its 2014 release date. Be sure to follow our blog for the latest details, including when the new model will make its splash here at Audi of Huntington.
